In addition to actually seeking a job, there are also other valid reasons to monitor the job market. Perhaps you are satisfied in your current position, but just want to keep an eye on new positions in a specific sector. Perhaps you are just curious to know what the wages are for similar positions. The job market can be monitored quite easily using RSS feeds. You can subscribe to RSS feeds in order to find specific company job openings, employment available within a specific region (i.e. by using a postal or zipcode), specific positions available, or to locate all jobs within a specific wage range.

JobDig is an employment-focused media company that helps businesses of all sizes within any industry lower the cost and improve the effectiveness of their hiring and recruitment advertising. Subscribe to the feeds and receive notification when new jobs are advertised.

One of your primary aims when blogging is to get more traffic for your blog. Having more traffic helps you achieve your goals for your blog, whatever those aims and goals may be. Although there are many ways you can get traffic, one of the easiest ways is with an email list.
Although email has gone out of fashion, it still works very effectively in conjunction with your blog. One of the easiest ways to get more traffic, is to turn your blog into an email ezine with a tool like Feedburner, or an autoresponder.
Using such tools, your blog posts are sent out automatically. You don't have to do anything other than make your normal blog posts, and your readers will receive them by email each day. This means that they will be regular readers, and it ensures that you will stay at the top of their mind.
Let's look at three reasons you should use email in conjunction with your blog, and build an email list.
Three reasons to build an email list to get blog traffic:
1. You will turn casual blog readers into subscribers
Although you receive traffic to your blog every day, very few of those visitors will ever return. This is because they arrived at your blog for a specific purpose, and once that purpose is fulfilled they have no reason to return.
An email list enables you to change those casual visitors into regular readers. It also enables you to build a relationship with them.
2. You can achieve the goals you set for your blog
An email list also helps you to achieve all the goals you set for your blog. For example if your blog's goal is to sell products, you have more opportunities to sell when you're in constant contact with your readers. If your goal is to sell your services, then your subscribers will become familiar with you, and with what you provide, and they're more likely to hire you.
If you sell advertising on your blog, you can sell advertising to your feed, or just provide a shortened feed via email, so that your subscribers have to visit your blog to read the entire post -- and view your advertising of course.
3. You can market to your subscribers to generate blog income
As you continue to blog, your goals for your blog will change. However, your email list continues to be a great marketing tool and over time you will build a list with hundreds if not thousands, of subscribers.
An additional benefit of having an email list is that if you ever decide to sell your blog, the fact that you have an email list means that you can set a higher price on your blog - - an email list turns your blog into a viable business.
Publicize your email list
Once you've set up your list, it's important that you publicize this facility. The more you publicize your list and and the benefits of joining, the more subscribers you will get. Most list owners offer a reward for joining such as a free report or a white paper.
Now you know what a list can do for your blog, I encourage you to start one. A list builds loyalty, and for a blog owner loyal readers are gold.
