Virtually every business in the world today has an online presence. Whether you’re running an e-commerce site, a hotel, restaurant, or even a convenience store, being visible on the World Wide Web is a must to stay relevant.
But alas, the internet contains millions or even billions of similar businesses like yours. How then do you paddle through every other similar name in the industry and rise up to be seen by your potential clients?
Addressing this marketing problem, UpViral was created to be the ultimate viral marketing system. Launched in 2015, UpViral claims that it is possible to give your business thousands of new leads in just weeks and is slowly but surely making a name for itself by helping business owners increase their traffic without having to pay anything for ads.
Let’s take a deep look into what this marketing tool is all about.
What is UpViral?
UpViral is an easy-to-use application that promises to deliver more traffic to your site or business in as little as 4 days. The premise is that by using the techniques of viral marketing, you can attract tens of thousands of qualified leads to achieve higher visibility and ultimately higher sales.
The app was created by Wilco de Kreij, who’s amassed more than 10 years in the online marketing arena. From selling sunglasses as a young entrepreneur, he eventually ventured into the world of online marketing, as well as helping to develop and market sophisticated software.
With years of experience in the industry, he noticed that the key to success for any business is traffic. Without traffic, your business is sure to fail.
De Kreij noticed that small business owners virtually had no chance of challenging their major counterparts in terms of online marketing. He then realized that a very simple and centuries-old marketing technique can actually be the answer. And this technique is called “word of mouth.”
Viral Marketing and the “Word of Mouth” Phenomenon
Studies have shown that consumers prefer the recommendations of peers and family over ads and marketing campaigns. In fact, statistics shown on the UpViral website reveal that 92% of consumers actually trust the recommendations of their friends and family over ads seen on TV, in magazines and on just about any other platform.
Now, viral marketing didn’t actually start as a marketing tool. When social media started, videos, photos and information went “viral” when one person shared a post on his/her social media account, then one or more of that person’s followers re-shared the content and so on. When content went “viral,” it simply meant that people liked or were amused by the video or picture or information.
The content then becomes viral when thousands and thousands of people start sharing the information, until it becomes so popular that the entire world knows about it.
Traditional marketing campaigns would cost millions if they were to achieve this kind of exposure and sadly not all businesses can afford traditional advertising that has the potential to bring in tens of thousands of visitors – but viral content can!
And this is when marketers took advantage of a social media phenomenon for their clients’ businesses.
But the real question is: “How do you create viral content?” De Kreij created UpViral specifically to give you the ability to create content with the capacity to reach thousands of people by going viral. How? By offering an application that gives you ready-made templates and all the necessary tools that can be easily shared by thousands of people and something that people would actually want to share.
What UpViral Offers
Basically, UpViral is a cloud-based software that you can access on any device. There are no needs for downloads or installations as you can access the app through any web browser. The app is compatible with Windows, Mac, Linux and on any mobile device.
There are no technical skills required as everything is made to be ready-to-use immediately. And if you already have an existing funnel or tool, the app can easily be integrated with any landing page or autoresponder.
In summary, what UpViral offers is ready-made and professional templates where you can create contests and giveaways to customers. The main premise is that you create a contest or giveaway and you give a prize/gift to customers in exchange for a specified number of referrals.
All the required tools are provided, such as referral links, social media access and templates, fully customizable email automation, a rewards system tool and all the features you need to build your viral marketing campaigns.
So basically, that’s how it works. By offering free stuff in exchange for more leads, your business then has the ability to go viral, as everyone wants quality, free stuff in exchange for a task that’s so simple and easy to do.
The greatest thing about this app is that it’s so simple. There are no complicated technical skills involved, no need to consult with an IT professional – it was created for the average business owner or marketer. The main premise is so simple, too – of course people would recommend your business in exchange for free quality giveaways; who wouldn’t want that? It’s so simple that you won’t need to understand complex concepts to be able to run successful viral campaigns.
If UpViral proves to be a quality system, then the $37 monthly subscription or the $297 lifetime payment appear to be great value indeed.
We know that in theory the setting up and running of viral marketing campaigns is possible and are enjoyed by many large companies and successful internet marketers worldwide. We don’t have any evidence of “real” people running successful viral campaigns with UpViral so we can’t honestly comment on the quality and usability of the system yet. We will also be setting up campaigns with UpViral so we will be adding our own findings to this review soon.
UpViral seems to be a promising system that can help businesses create successful viral referral marketing campaigns. Now, whether or not this traffic will lead to sales is another question.
Overall, UpViral can be a great tool if you don’t want to spend a lot on hiring an actual online marketer or pay a great deal for advertising. If you don’t have stuff to give away, then you will need to come up with something of your own or strike a deal with someone else and use their giveaways. The main premise of the “viral” system is your business giving away free stuff, so if you’re not comfortable with that, then this system will simply not work for you.
Remember, if you can set up a high converting viral marketing campaign, your business will attract an ever growing flow of free visitors and UpViral could well be the platform to help you do this.
